These are depictions of me portraying a fictional alderman during an exercise at the Civic Leadership Institute. The high school students who were participating were trying to persuade me (the alderman) to make an appearance at a fictional event they were throwing. I would eventually agree, but only after telling them how busy I was and making sure that the local newspaper would be reporting my appearance. These images appeared on their final poster designs to promote the event.

30 Days of Creativity

I'm participating in #30daysofcreativity:

30 Days of Creativity is a social initiative encouraging people to create stuff, anything, every day for 30 days. This was launched in May 2010 by folks in the Minneapolis creative community. Inspired by #30daysofbiking by @patiomensch.

I feel like I'm cheating just a little bit because I had already started a daily image making project in mid-May. This just added another external incentive to my project and made designing this month's image header a little easier.

(update 3 July 2010: 30 Days of Creativity complete and I continue to add images daily)
